Warm air and smiling faces, temple incense and robed monks on the evening tuk-tuk ride to your hostel, these will be your first impressions of Siem Reap located beside the alluring temples and World Heritage listed ruins of Angkor Wat. Savor these moments, you will never forget them!
You will be working in a village and living in Siem Reap, building homes for poor families, classrooms for village schools and small infrastructure projects. Expect to be welcomed into the community as you work alongside parents, teachers, children and grandparents. We arrange language classes for basic communication skills.
During this seven days will find yourself more fulfilled and happier than you could ever imagine; this is an experience like no other.
Siem Reap is a beautiful and vibrant small city with so much to occupy you on weekends and at night. You will have a guided tour of Angkor Wat, travel to Tonle Sap, attend the famous Phare circus and we will take you to the local carnival. And if you want a quiet evening you can go out to one of the hundreds of local restaurants and enjoy an exotic meal as you watch the passing parade.

Your team leader will be waiting for you outside the arrivals area of Siem Reap airport. They will be holding an ROV sign and wearing an ROV shirt, so you can’t miss them! If you get in before noon, enjoy a guided walking tour around Siem Reap. Once you are settled into your accommodation, you will have free time.
These are full working days at the local schools. Different tasks include mixing concrete, laying bricks, painting, or sawing and hammering to complete various construction and beautification projects.
Volunteers have free time in the evenings. Your local team leader may schedule a language class, history lesson, outing to the carnival or to the circus on these nights.
All volunteers will have a guided tour of Angkor Wat, beginning at sunrise. After the tour, volunteers will have free time. Many choose to rest after a long day of exploring the temples!
Volunteers who choose to purchase the Tonle Sap Add-On will visit the floating villages after the Angkor Wat tour.
Volunteers will spend their final day finishing their outlined projects. After work, there will be a goodbye ceremony with the children and teachers where people are welcome to say a few words, hand out donations, or just play and relax with the children after a long week of hard work!
Saturday is departure day. We will take you back to the airport in time for your flight.
In Siem Reap: You will be staying at a hotel in the center of Siem Reap city, which is close to restaurants, markets and shops. All linen, pillows, towels provided. Rooms have own private bathrooms, and doors with locks. Hotel comes with unlimited drinking water and snacks. Venue also has 24 hour security and wifi availability.
In addition to marine conservation, our volunteers help with teaching and building projects in the community.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. A Cambodian Tourist Visa is required for everyone when entering Cambodia. The Visa is approximately $40USD and can be purchased by US, Canadian, UK, Australian and NZ citizens when you land. There are some restrictions on other nationalities, so please confirm information with the embassy / consulate of the country you will be visiting prior to departure.

Organising your Tourist Visa into Cambodia is a really simple process, and you will need the following:
You then take the above to the visa counter for processing which generally takes ten minutes. They will then give you back your passport with the tourist visa in it, and you then collect your bags, clear customs, and make your way to meet your Team Leader.
