This is a mix of volunteering and adventure that no other program can match. It includes volunteering with villagers, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the floating islands and La Paz in Bolivia.

Week one takes place in a remote village in the high Andes Mountains assisting a local family build a greenhouse to combat malnutrition. You will spend one night living with the family. This is a unique and touching experience that normal tourist never experience.

As a big Thank You, for your work in week one, week two is filled with adventure and immersive activities! You will learn to cook Peruvian dishes, speak Spanish, wander the old city lanes of Cusco and practise your salsa dancing!

You will quad bike (ATV) and take a tour of the Sacred Valley, visiting the ‘Moray Ruins, (unknown to most tourists) and trek to the Peruvian salt mines, the ‘Salineras’ of the Sacred Valley.

You will visit natural hot springs, zip-line across valleys, jungles and rivers and you can experience white water rafting.

Then you trek to Machu Picchu in time to see the sun-set over the ancient ruins. An experience like few others on the planet!*

To top off this magical experience off, you will return to Machu Picchu the next morning to see the sun rise over the ruins.

After returning to Cusco on day fourteen you depart for Puno. Next day we cross the border and head on to La Paz the capital of Bolivia. At an elevation of roughly 3,650 m (11,975 ft) above sea level and surrounded by snow capped mountains La Paz is an extraordinary and visually stunning city.

You will use the cable cars, venture to a witches market and much more. On our return journey we stop at Copacabana. Here you view the cathedrals, take short treks, enjoy the local watersports like paddle boats and jet skis or visit the very beautiful Isla de Sol with its stunning ruins.

Finally, you will visit the world famous “floating islands” of Lake Titicaca exploring archeological sites along the way and enjoying the fabulous scenery. On our last day we return to Cusco.

*Machu Picchu is at a high altitude where weather conditions can vary greatly particularly in the winter period. As such the itinerary is subject to change if conditions require us to take a safer option. This can mean that the journey on the Inca Trail may not be available if the conditions are not considered safe by our local guides.
