Amazing Kathmandu and the stunning Himalayas.

Overview

This project is the perfect mix of cultural immersion, hiking, and making a difference. You will help out at a school, explore the history of Kathmandu, and of course trek through the gorgeous Himalayas to an altitude of 10,500 feet above sea level!

During the first week, you will assist locals in the heart of Kathmandu repairing a school badly damaged in the 2015 earthquake. You’ll be spending your afternoons visiting historical parts of the city, learning to cook the traditional Dal Bhat, and of course exploring the colorful markets.

In the second week you’re on 5 full days of trekking in the Himalayas. Each day will be a different experience. You will hear the sounds of the bells jangling on the yaks as they head down the path. You will enjoy the fresh mountain air, the waterfalls and the ever-changing mountain views that make it one of the most astounding and uplifting treks in the world.
